We had an interesting week! Garrett got sick for the first time Tuesday. He woke up from his nap and threw up all over his bed, then a couple more times after that, fell asleep again and was fine after that. He didn’t have a fever or any other symptoms so we think it must have just been from teething. Speaking of teething, Mr. Garrett has 2 new teeth through and one more very close! Grandma and Grandpa Berciunas came down to visit Tuesday during the day, which was very helpful. So we got to have lunch with them and they got to love on Garrett.
Wednesday after Mike got out of work we went to Ludington. Thursday morning, Mike went fishing with my dad and a bunch of his friends. They did really well fishing, I love salmon!!
That was the first time Garrett stayed the night in a hotel. He didn’t sleep very well, I felt bad for the guy in the room next to us. I’m sure he wasn’t very happy. It was definitely a learning experience for me! Have you ever tried to carry a pack and play bag down (which doesn’t have a strap, by the way) down a set of very skinny stairs, while trying to carry your 20 something pound child? Not easy! Next time, if there isn’t an elevator, we need to be on the first floor. Oh well, my legs got a good workout. I think I climbed those stairs about 10 times, trying to get everything in the car, thankfully neither of us fell down the stairs so that’s all that really matters!
Thursday, after Mike was done fishing we went up to Elk Rapids. Grandma and Grandpa S, Uncle Dan and Aunt Jan, Aunt Pam and Cousins Krissy and Katie were all up there. Garrett had so much fun, swinging on the baby swing and playing in the water. Thank you so much for having us, it was a great little vacation!!
The baby-proofing is going well, don’t you think?
Playing at the condo.
First real attempt at stairs, he did really well!
