It’s been a busy week and I haven’t had a lot of time to update. Last week Wednesday, I had an appointment with a new Allergy Doctor. When I was pregnant with Garrett I had a really hard time with my lungs so I want to start allergy shots again, in hopes that when I get pregnant again I won’t have as many problems. Well, they tested me again, and it didn’t go the greatest. On top on severe pollen and dust allergies, I now am not allowed to eat peanuts, tree nuts or shellfish. This was quite depressing. It means no more peanut butter, no more crab legs, no m&m’s (all m&m’s are made on the same line so the peanut free ones still could have traces of peanut on them), no more chinese food (most chinese food is fried in peanut oil), and no more movie theater popcorn (also, use peanut oil). And because there is a possiblity that my throat could close up if I ever accidently eat any of that stuff, I now have an epi pen in my purse. FUN!
Monday, I had my 4 week post-partum check up with Dr. Taylor. He said I’m doing great and off all restrictions. So I started working out at the gym again! It feels so good to work out again! I’ve lost quite a bit of baby weight already, but I still have a ways to go. I’m excited about going to the gym and getting back into shape.
Today, Garrett had his first shot. He didn’t get a Hep B shot in the hospital when he was born so he got that today. He took it like a champ and only cried for a minute. What a brave boy! They didn’t weigh him today but they measured him and he’s now 21″ long! He’s getting so big!
