Happy Birthday Garrett!

The Stephenson Family

Garrett Joseph Stephenson was born at 4:46AM on 12/30/2009. He's 8lb 1oz and 19

Everybody is healthy and doing well.

Verna and Garrett will be able to come home on Friday. I’m sure she’ll post a more thorough update then. In the mean time, I’m getting some sleep.

Merry Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas! My parents, Brooke and Ricky were all here Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Thanks for coming down here, it was great seeing all of you! Mike and I got each other snowshoes. I won’t be able to try mine out for awhile but I can’t wait to use them. Sadly, all the Christmas decorations are put away already, I didn’t want to have to mess with it after the baby comes home.

I can’t believe he’s going to be here so soon! Part of me is very nervous about the birth, about taking care of him when he’s on the outside, and about our silence being gone forever! We are trying to savor these last few days of quiet, just the two of us, and sleep as much as we can. I can’t wait to see him though, see what he looks like! I’m so excited!

39 week appointment!

Today was my 39 week appointment. My blood pressure was good, heartbeat good, measuring good still. We have a non-stress test scheduled for Tuesday, December 29th and then he said we’ll talk about inducing! I’m a little nervous but excited! By this time next week our son will most likely be here! Crazy to think about!

Last day of work!

Today is my last day at Orthopaedic Associates of Michigan! Yeah! We had our x-ray department Christmas party last night. Not very many people could go but we had fun. Thanks ladies, for making the last 4 years of work fly by! I’m going to miss you!

38 week appointment!

I went in for my 38 week appointment today. The baby is measuring well, heartbeat good, and he’s head down. My blood pressure was higher than before but I’m almost done working so we aren’t too worried about that. Everything is going well! We are very thankful!

Last week of work at OAM!

Friday, December 18th, is my last day of work at Orthopaedic Associates of Michigan. I’ve been there a little over 4 years, though it doesn’t really seem like it’s been that long. I’m going to miss the girls I work with, and all of the doctors, but I’m so excited about staying home with my baby. I’m also VERY excited about any time I have off between my last day of work and when the baby arrives. Hopefully I’ll be able to get a lot accomplished. Five more days of work! YEAH!!!

38 week appointment with Dr. Taylor on Wednesday, I’ll let you know how it goes!
