My Birthday Week!

Grandma S’s nephew and his family were visiting the week of my birthday.  It was so great to spend time with Jill, Levi and Lucas!  Garrett and Lucas had so much fun playing together and I loved catching up with Jill!  They are expecting twins (a boy and a girl) in September.  We are so excited for them!

Grandma S and Great Grandma Stephenson came to babysit the kids for us, on my birthday, so we could go out for dinner.  We went to Grand Haven and had a wonderful dinner by the lake.

We met Jill and Levi at their hotel and took all the kids swimming.  It was the first time Avery had been in the pool.  It was a little chilly but she did great.

The boys hugging goodbye!  It was so sweet!  I think it’s a hint that they need to move closer!

Happy Mother’s Day!

I had a wonderful Mother’s Day!  I’m so thankful for my beautiful babies, they are such a blessing!  Happy Mother’s Day to our mom’s as well!  We love you!

Things have been super crazy around here lately.  Garrett had surgery on an infected tear duct, last week.  My parents came down and stayed with Avery.  Grandma Deb and Grandpa Mark came down Friday.  The helped us work on the yard and brought some trees for us.  After they left on Saturday, we went and got my Mother’s Day present.  I picked out 3 white hydrangea bushes and a blueberry bush.  Sunday we spent the day working in the yard.  We planted all the trees that Grandma Deb and Grandpa Mark brought, along with my hydrangeas.  We also planted the entire garden, which is 3 times bigger than it originally was.  It’s been a lot of work but I’m so glad we’re done now!

Happy May Day!

I love May!  It’s my favorite month!  Not too hot, usually no snow.  My birthday is 14 days away, our anniversary is on the 17th, and Mother’s Day is next weekend!  I think May is the best month!

What we’ve been up to.

Unpacking.  Lots of unpacking.

First, I’d like to have a moment of silence.  Our big freezer decided to die on us, right before the move.  All of the milk I had pumped for Avery had to get dumped.  I cried.  There was about 3 gallons of milk in there.  Now we have none.  I haven’t used any of it and she barely takes a bottle anyway, but I like having it in there.  And it’s gone.  All gone.

Moving on.

Avery is trying her hardest to start crawling!

Silly face.

Up off the floor.

She’s started voicing her opinions a lot more.  Every time Garrett touches her she starts screaming!  I’m not sure if it’s because he’s always squeezing her around the neck, or laying on top of her but I think she’s sick of it.  They are so silly together.  He just wants to love her all the time!   They have a new game too, she’ll be in her walker in the kitchen and he likes pushing her around.  They both love it.

Scared face.

Checking out the construction trucks in the road.

Garrett has started talking a lot more!   He’ll say Garrett and Avery now.  Though it sounds more like Gar-ga and Aya-ya.  It’s really cute.  He likes making sounds and motions for the lawn mower and rota-tiller too.

I wanted to add this.  Mike’s mom made Avery a dress and hat.  It’s so cute.
